Power 25 Rankings
June 27, 2009
RANDY ORTON
This Week: 1
Last Week: 3
Reason:The Legend Killer reclaims the No. 1 spot on the P25, but it could be a short-lived reign if Triple H gets the upper hand against him in their Three Stages of Hell Match and takes the WWE Championship for himself.
BATISTA
This Week: FAREWELL
Last Week: --------------
Reason: Less than 24 hours after winning the WWE Title from Randy Orton within the confines of a steel cage, The Animal was sent to the hospital after a vicious beating by The Legacy and will be sidelined for up to four months.

JOHN CENA
This Week: 5
Last Week: 5
Reason: Cena may have lost his match on Raw, thanks to Big Show getting a helping hand, but perhaps now The World's Largest Athlete will leave him alone and Cena will be able to focus on shutting up The Miz.

Cena-Triple H: Their journey before the tourney
Published on July 02, 2009 | Filed Under: WWE.com Exclusives | Comments (0)
John Cena and Triple H have successfully defended the WWE Championship against each other in their previous two encounters. Though neither holds the gold as they meet a third time on Raw, the winner of Monday's rubber match will earn an opportunity to challenge for it at Night of Champions.
WWE.COM - Triple H. John Cena. Both champions, in every sense of the word, though neither Superstar currently holds WWE’s ultimate prize. That may change starting Monday night, however, when the two battle on Raw to determine who will face WWE Champion Randy Orton at Night of Champions.

As the final two participants to advance from last Monday’s four-man tournament, The Game and Cena have torn the WWE Universe’s loyalties in opposing directions regarding this match. And you can’t blame them; after all, neither Triple H nor the 12 Rounds star have established a history of dominance over the other. Each holds a victory in one-on-one competition, so Monday’s contest will serve as the ultimate in rubber matches.

RAW Spoilers for July 06
Published on July 01, 2009 | Filed Under: General News | Comments (0)
RAW has been taped and will not be live due to the two week overseas tour. So here are the Spoilers for Next Week's episode of RAW. If you are interested you can highlight below to read.
Randy Orton b Ted DiBiase with the RKO. Good match, clean pin in the middle.

John Cena did a backstage promo and was booed heavy.

HHH NC Cena to get the title shot. Cena in his promo said they would be doing a Wrestlemania match. They did a very good match, probably just under a PPV quality match. I'd say crowd was 75% pro-HHH, which was weird because in show one, HHH got a faded star reaction and Cena was the only guy in the first show who came off to the live crowd like they were a big star. Here the crowd was strong into the entire match and booed the hell out of Cena. As they were building the finish, Rhodes & DiBiase ran in to end it. Orton then said that since they both lost, he doesn't have to defend against either. Ted Sr. then said he was wrong, as he saw it that neither lost and he was ordering a three-way at the Night of Champions.

After the taping was over, Cena did a promo telling the fans that they had just seen a great show and had just seen a Wrestlemania main event. He said people could remember that they saw the best match they had ever seen in their lives. I was about to throw up when he delivered that line. People were with him. He said Rhodes & DiBiase ruined Wrestlemania and wanted all three to come down and apologize. After calling them cowards, they got in the ring. Orton was in HHH & Cena's face when DiBiase & Rhodes bailed out without Orton knowing. Show ended with an Attitude Adjustment by Cena and pedigree by HHH on Orton, and then Ted Sr. came back out and slapped Ted Jr. in the face.

06/29/09 - Monday Night RAW Results

(Live Event Digitals | Television Captures)

Batista named Guest Host of RAW
Batista walked onto the stage. He announced Miz vs. John Cena and Triple H vs. MVP in the first round of a Night of the Champions tournament. He said when Vince asked him to do this, he said no way. He said he's a fighter, a competitor (he means "sports entertainer," for those you absorbed into WWE-speak), he doesn't want to wear a suit. Then Randy Orton's music interrupted and he walked out onto the stage with Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase.

Orton said he shouldn't have come back and he asked what's stopping them from marching to the ring and making him regret it. Batista said before he rudely interrupted him, he was about to say McMahon gave him unlimited power so he can make his life a living nightmare and even fire him if he looks at him wrong. Orton said his life is already a nightmare. He said he barely survived Three Stages of Hell. He said he got hit in the head with a sledgehammer and can barely walk.

Batista mock whined and cried. Batista said he doesn't need to worry about defending his title. He said he needs to worry about the trade Trump made. He said he's booking him against three of the five wrestlers Raw acquired from Smackdown because "I know how much you love three-on-one fights." He said it's time he's on the receiving end of one. No hint yet of the names of the opponents he's facing.

Backstage with Legacy
Randy Orton was staring at the ground. Cody and Ted then walked over to Orton complaining about what just happened out there. Orton told them not to worry about that; just make sure he retains the WWE Title against Triple H. Ted didn't appreciate that and said he's not just their henchmen. They deserve to be in the main event. Heck, Orton even kicked him in the head, but he let it go so he could further his career. Orton told him maybe he made a mistake. DiBiase stormed off, then Cody said he'll talk to him. Here we go planting seeds of dissent. First Ted with red trunks instead of black, now talking back to his mentor.

In the Locker Room with Orton
Randy Orton dialed a number, then placed a call. No answer. Just ringing. He got Cody Rhodes's voice mail. Orton told him to call back.

John Cena vs. The Miz
Both men went to neutral corners ala a boxing/MMA fight before the bell sounded. Cena then opened up with a leg trip and he adjusted his knee pads. Another leg trip and Miz was flustered. Miz finally get the best of Cena in a cat & mouse game in and out of the ring, then he started an attack on Cena back in the ring. Lawler lamented that if Miz wins, he'll brag forever and "Twitter" everyone about his win. Cena then made a comeback at 5:00 and set up the Five Knuckle Shuffle combo of moves. Cena connected with the 5NS, then wanted the FU and he connected. Cena stared down at Miz instead of making a cover, then he slapped on the STFU in center ring. Miz tapped out after a one second struggle. Cena kinda looked down at Miz like no big deal. Announcers tried to sell that Miz was "game for most of the match-up," but Cena won. Afterward, Cena did the Victoria spot of kicking imaginary dirt onto Miz.
Winner: John Cena

Droz's Picks for The Bash '09
Published on June 26, 2009 | Filed Under: WWE.com Exclusives | Comments (0)
John Cena vs. The Miz
Miz has finally gotten his wish to face Cena in the big ring and I’m not so sure that when it’s all said and done, that he will be very happy. His sneak attacks on Cena have surely infuriated the superstar to no end and when Cena finally gets his hands on the Miz, the Miz is in some serious trouble. I would really like to pick Cena for this win, don’t get wrong he will abuse the Miz, but I have this sinking feeling that Miz is going to find a way to win this match one way or another.
WWE Champion Randy Orton vs. Triple H
With Orton winning the belt after Batista went out, I have to say that Triple H is a sight for sore eyes. He has been out of the loop for a few months and to see him getting back into the ring doing what he does best is simply wonderful. Orton has shown us time and time again that he knows how to win the big match; he will surely do whatever it takes to achieve that goal. You have to remember though, Triple H taught this youngster almost everything he knows. On that note, I am going to have to say that Orton is going to drop the belt…okay, I changed my mind, I just decided it’s not his time yet, Orton will retain, but suffer greatly.
